Christine Trischuk’s passion is helping others and giving back to her community.
I would like to thank all those who supported my nomination for the 4th Annual Women in Business Awards, Professional Category, hosted by the Surrey Board of Trade. I am humbled and honoured by this nomination.
When I reflect back, I see a young girl that put herself through school and spent her career in a man’s world– and yet found so many female friends and colleagues that have been very good to me and helped me flourish. My nomination is a result of the love and support that I have gained from all of you.
A special thanks to the Valley Women’s Network. As the Coordinator for the Evening Chapter I have been fortunate enough to be given the gifts of your time on projects and businesses that you care about– it continues to be a great journey. I feel very blessed that I have had so many opportunities to work with such a talented group of women.
If you are woman in business and looking for a great place to network, I highly recommend joining us at the Valley Women’s Network. It gives us a place to share our stories and histories. To offer advice to someone who needs help growing her business or to give that warm hug that is sometimes so welcoming and needed or to even to reacquaint ourselves with an old friend, or a make a new one. I’m thankful for all of those opportunities, and more.
While I am unsure of whether I will win or not on March 13, I am sure that I am going to be spending with afternoon with 5 friends that have all had a recent impact on my life and career. One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was to surround myself with smart people that encourage me to constantly set the bar higher and challenge myself on a regular basis, and yet support me because of who I am. I am thrilled to introduce them to each other, and personally thank them individually for what they have brought to my life and the gifts they have given me.
